Trus Mardi and Tikolod, Sabah
After three days of shooting in Mahua Waterfalls, we decided to explore other places and went to Trus Mardi and Molunggung Post (near Tikolod).
Sifu had noticed another nature reserve known as the Trus Mardi on the sign board in the town area and we decided to give it a try. When we got there, we discovered the nature reserve was closed for some building construction but we managed to get permission from the caretaker to stay around the closed gate, where we saw quite a number of Crows and Glass Tigers. We do not have much information about this place but upon checking the internet, I found this link which is quite informative aceadventure.com.sg

After spending a few hours there in Trus Mardi, we decided to head for Tikolod as recommended by David.
There were not many butterflies there but we spent a lot of time shooting this tiny fella, the endemic Kinabalu Lass ( Heliophorus kiana) until it was time for us to return to the lodge.
